Kindermusik in the Park

Friday morning Sofi's Kindermusik class had a special Kindermusik in the Park day at Landa Park. So Sofi and I had a Mommy and Me date and went to the park for some singing, dancing and playing and we even got to ride the train. We had a picnic lunch packed complete with a blanket and bubbles, but it started to sprinkle so we just headed home for lunch instead. It was probably for the best as Sofi fell asleep on the way home, and I was so worn out that we both took a 2 hour nap. Whew! But it was a good day for Sofi and I.

This was the parachute game where you're supposed to hold the parachute with all the balls in the middle and shake it to make the balls bounce everywhere...well, I left Sofia alone to grab my camera for 2 seconds and when I turned back around, she was sitting in the middle of the parachute on the ground. This started a crazy stampede of children all wanting to sit in the middle with the balls, so we didn't end up getting to play the game. Instead we had to improvise and the parents ended up dragging the kids around on the parachute. How proud I am of my little ring leader. :)

What a great time! I've never thought of having class at the park before. Maybe I'll try that in the fall when it's not so hot down here in Texas :D Thanks for sharing
