The Girls

I try and try to get a good picture of the two of them together, but it's nearly impossible. I thought this sequence of pictures was funny anyway. (and yes, that's spit-up on Scarlett's pj's, probably squash or carrots.)

G-Paw's 1st Visit Home From Saudi

G-Paw got to come home for the first time this past weekend and he and Gigi came up for a visit. We all had a blast but I think it was Sofi and Scarlett who had the best time. They sure do love their Gigi and G-Paw...the hard part is when they have to leave...Jason and I paid for their departure for the rest of the day Sunday after they left. They were NOT HAPPY. But we had so much fun while they were here. Here's some highlights:

I came downstairs to find Gigi having a picnic with the girls on the kitchen floor Saturday afternoon. Sofi's got a mouth full of chocolate chip cookies. :)

G-Paw and Sofi were waiting for us to get our stuff together to go swimming at the pool where our land is and they were chanting "I want to go SWIMMING!" Sofi loved it.

Scarlett fell asleep on the way to the pool, so we just sat her under an umbrella to catch a few z's while we swam until she woke up.
This is Sofi's new float. It's a one piece tube that goes around her waste so she can pretty much float on her own in the pool. She's so independent and doesn't want us to hold her in the water, so this helps a lot. She loves it.

Scarlett woke up and came to join the fun...lathered in sunscreen of course. :)

The day Gigi and G-Paw were leaving Sofi decided she wanted to cook some eggs, so Gigi obliged. Sofi's quite the little cook.

Scarlett's Six Month Portraits

I was pretty good this time and was able to take Scarlett's six month pictures done only 3 days after she turned six months...that NEVER happens. But then of course, it took me forever to post them. :) I think these capture her personality pretty well...goof ball.

Cabo!!!

We are back from Cabo and what a great time we had. Thanks to Mimi for watching the girls so Jason and I could have a little badly needed R&R.

Day 1
The day we arrived we were all pretty exhausted. It was a lot of work getting everything ready to leave town for a week and then we all had really early flights that met up in Dallas so we could fly the last leg of the trip on the same flight. At the airport, the lady that checked our bags told Jason and I "Congratulations!" We just stared at here and didn't know what she was talking about. Then she said, "You just got married, right?" We told her, "Going on nine years, but thanks!" We got a good laugh at that one, but she made our day.

When we arrived, we were excited to be there, so after getting checked in and explored the hotel a bit, we got dressed up for a night on the town since it was Saturday night. We took a cab to Cabo Wabo for dinner, but that's about as far as we made it. As much as we tried, we were just too tired and decided to head back to the hotel for an early night.

Day 2
The first full day of our trip we decided to listen to the timeshare presentation so that we could use the freebies throughout the rest of the trip...we walked in for a free breakfast and a couple hundred in food credits with the hotel, and walked out with "fractional ownership" of Villa 66 at the Montecristo Estates. :) Here's a quick glimpse of our villa...

Day 3
We took a boat called the Pez Gato out for a little snorkeling at Santa Maria and then a light lunch and drinks afterwards on our sail back to the marina. There were surprisingly quite a bit of colorful fish out there that made for good snorkeling, despite the cold water...brrr! The trip back was fun too.
When we got back to the hotel after snorkeling, we walked down to the beach and then had dinner around a fire at the hotel. It was really a nice relaxing night.

Day 4
On the fourth day we got up early and went zip-lining and repelling off a mountain. It was a lot of fun and not quite as scary as I thought it would be. Jason was a little worried because he has a little bit of a fear of heights, but he did great!

That night we took the Pez Gato back out for a sunset cruise around the Lover's Arch. We had a lot of fun and made a lot of friends on the boat. A newly-wed couple that we met zip-lining met us for dinner when we got off the boat, and then we danced the night away.

The hotel is so large and is set into the side of a hill, so you have to take golf carts everywhere you go.

Jason going to the potty on the rocking boat...it wasn't easy.

Day 5
Day 5 was mine and Jason's last full night there, so we decided to lay low and relax for most of the day. We all went to the spa that morning for massages, then hit the pool and beach for some relaxation. That night we spur of the minute decide to go to a movie in downtown Cabo...something that we never get to do since we've got the kiddos. :)

This is one of the many pools at the hotel...this one is way at the top of the hill and is called the Sky Pool. We spent most of our time in the hot tub though as it was a little chilly way up there with the wind blowing.
